I recently purchased the 'subject' light from LA Color (Thanks Taky!). The light is well made and puts out a pretty nice amount of light. I haven't had an opportunity to use it in the field, yet, but I'm sure it will perform adequately.

I have to say, this is my second time purchasing from LA Color and in a word the experience was "Great!". I don't know what more I could have asked for regarding customer service. The actual purchase was ezy-peezy, the Comer 1800 was shipped in a very timely manner (I hate waiting for stuff), well packaged, and there was even a small discount. More vendors would be served well if they just offered a small discount to their customers. Maybe it's just me, but if I purchase something, and the vendor offers me a 5% or 10% price break along with great customer service, I feel good about the transaction and 9 out of 10 times, I'll return to that vendor. I told Taky the reason I made my second purchase from him was he treated me fairly and honestly when I bought a couple of 'non-OEM' batteries from him and one was defective. There was no drama, no problem, he just sent me another battery. I know this is the way it's supposed to be, but we all know a lot of times this is not how we get treated. Anyway, it was a good experience, and I'd do business with LA Color again.

Take care of yourselves,

J.

FYI I also got a Comer 1800 and I am really happy with it. I was worried that I would not get enough output from it vs my ultralight with a 50 watt bulb but it does great and gives me more flexibility. I wish it folded up smaller the "L" design is kinda hard to fit in my case but other than that its perfect!
