Shooting with the Z7 The date and time was recorded on footage, there's no way to remove it right? Other then cropping in post.
View Full Version : SONY Z7 Date and time recorded on, no way to remove it Matt Thomas December 18th, 2011, 01:37 PM Shooting with the Z7 The date and time was recorded on footage, there's no way to remove it right? Other then cropping in post. Adam Gold December 18th, 2011, 02:04 PM Right. It's not metadata, it's actually burned into the picture if you used DATE REC. Some people report success using effects in post to sort of blur it so it's not too noticeable. This is all assuming it really was recorded with DATE REC on, and is not just displaying CAM DATA DISPLAY on playback. (But with the Z7 I think that's all data and it doesn't give you a choice for just date and time.) Matt Thomas December 18th, 2011, 02:12 PM Yes, it was recorded burned in, I didn't notice it while shooting because they were rented cameras and when I've used them before they never had anything burned in, so I didn't think anything of it at the time. James E. Thomas December 18th, 2011, 10:40 PM I made that mistake once on a wide shot of a dance recital. I used a region filter and blured and feathered it, not perfect but didn't get any complaints. Good luck. Tom Hardwick December 19th, 2011, 03:12 AM I know we all know this, but quiet time spent as checking time (especially with unfamiliar hired kit) is time very well spent indeed. Barry Hunter January 25th, 2012, 05:10 PM Some time back I downloaded a prog via the "Give Away of the day" site called "Remove Logo Now" I`ve never tried to use it as I havn`t had any justification but it might just do the trick, might be worth a try! |
