View Full Version : Time Code on XLH1

Can anyone tell me if the original early 2006 XLH1 outputs T/C from the SDI port? Or is it only from the T/C port?

I think I am correct in saying that there is no audio embedded in the SDI, right?

I am attempting to get my hands on a Samurai to test/buy. The people at Atomos seem to think it will work ok with the XLH1. I gather that it delivers PSF from the SDI port - at least I hope so or I am wasting a lot of time.

Advice welcome.

Many thanks,

Harry.

Correct, no audio over SDI on the original XL H1.

My understanding is that TC is carried over SDI, but somebody else who knows for sure should confirm or deny.

Confirm that their is no timecode carried on the original XLH1 over the HD-SDI.

We use the XDR recorder and you must connect a timecode cable to the timecode port to feed timecode to the XDR recorder.

No audio on over the HD-SDI port either.

XLH1s model DOES carry timecode and audio over the HD-SDI.
