Hey everybody!

i got a huge problem: I accidently re-formated one of my external harddiscs, containing some XD-Cam folders. Restoring the original folder-structure seems impossible (i went to several computer-experts) but i was hoping that at least the MP4-files from inside the bpav-folder structure would show up after scanning the disk with a file recovery program. I used "Data Rescue 3" but in the end none of my xdcam-files was restored!
Does anybody know a File Recovery-Program that supports XDCam files??
Thanks for the help!

As long as you did not use the card after formatting there is a good chance that all the information is there.

Contact the professional media department at Sony in Park Ridge NJ. They should be able to guide you on this if the recommended program did not work.

Thomas I've PM'd you with some information that was passed on to me which may be of help.

In essence this software seems to be useful, Disk Doctors Photo Recovery. I hope it helps.

George, thanks a whole lot! I finally managed to recover my XDCAM-Files using Disk Doctor's Photo Recovery! I had some issues with the software before (it often crashed without finishing the scan..) but today it finished and: I got all my Files Back!! Whuppie! BIG BIG THANKS!!
