Excellent find.

I remember a number of years ago when we first rented an HVX-200. We studied the heck out of the manual, printed a version, and brought it with us. We had also gotten our hands on some content to verify our workflow. With the preparation, everything went smoothly. We only had to refer to the manual once - when setting up a time lapse. Aside from the up/down/left/right buttons being oriented strangely (the first press was always wrong), everything really fell to hand.

Having the manual ahead of time can really maximize that first rental - as can renting over a weekend. ;)

Yep .. if you've owned any camera for a while, open its manual at any page and spend a few minutes reading it.

We ran a study which reported many users found something they'd either forgotten .. or didn't know.

Cheers.

I clicked on the link, and the page said no instruction manuals are available for this camera.

Did I miss something, or did they take it down?

Anyone know where the manual went?

The manual doesn't seem to be available from Canon's site at the moment. However, I already have a copy of it and have made it available for anyone who wants to view it here:

Canon EOS C300 Manual (http://www.kriskoster.com/eosc300-eosc300pl-im-c-en.pdf)

Can't see any harm, it's just a manual; But grab it while you can. Should a Canon rep ask that I remove it, I'll comply with their request.

Thanks, Kris.

Always nice to read the manual before buying a camera.

Great thanks.

LOL imaginative remote advertising by Canon.

Put the manual up on line, take it off, then someone posts it on a site and everyone downloads it .. and of course reads it ..
and then wants to follow, if not join in with the discussions.

Their agency probably invoiced 790,971.00 Yens (A$10,000.00) for that idea.

Excuse me, I'm off to study mine :)

Cheers.

I will have a read and see if it might help choosing between a C300 and C100.

For my current cameras I usually save a pdf copy of the manual to dropbox so I can get access to it anywhere in the world if I need to. I also save a copy to my iPhone if I know there won't be an internet connection or I think I will need to refer to it often during a job.
