Updates are now available at Sony's Micro site for XDCAM Browser (etc.) I've never really understood the appeal of that program. The XDCAM transfer program is far more user friendly.

Old news... but XDCAM Transfer cannot copy multiple BPAV folders into a single BPAV folder, make MXF's and other formats from MP4's, Do flash band removal, make storyboard edits, make stereoscopic pairs, create forward planning metadata, allow live logging, batch edit metadata and so on.

XDCAM Transfer was purely a tool for getting clips into FCP. It did have a couple of nice features like printing log sheets, but is purely a Mac tool for FCP users.

That's true. I hadn't realized that you needed to transfer the entire BPAV folder in order to make it work. Actually when I look at it again, that's far superior to the transfer program. Thanks, Alister.

That version 3.0 is very new. It only appeared on December 1st.

You mean XDCAM Browser version 2.0, not 3.0 right?
