A while ago I exported/rendered 1080 50i .m2ts video from my video editor to the hard drive, I decided to run 'Speccy' and was shocked to see that pc's processor, i7 920 quad core, temperature reached 90˚C. The Corsair H80 water cooling system was recommended by my local pc supplier. This system is effective in keeping the processor temp down at 75˚c when rendering. However, the system is very noisy. The pc now sounds like a vacuum cleaner.
I edit with Serif MoviePlusX5. This software does not utilise the CUDA functionality that the new graphics cards now have. As I understand it, it does not use the graphics acceleration together with the processor when rendering HD video like , say Sony Vegas or Adobe Premier do. Nonetheless, it handles HD video with ease and is very stable.
Processor heat and cooling fan noise are the problems. Does anyone have/had these problems ? Anyone with a solution ?
