Having shot a wedding with 600 clips, how can I join all these m2t files together without re compressing?
I use Vegas 10 and I use the match project properties..I see the "=" on 60i , I select it and Vegas want to compress it...Rrrrrr

What software can I use to join all the files together?
Thanks

use import device to bring the clips in.

strange that it wants to compress - are you pointing to a source file to get the project properties from?

The problem was reported here:
HV30, 30p workflow, Vegas, smart render (http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?32552-HV30-30p-workflow-Vegas-smart-render)

It seems vegas doesn't like progressive footage...

OK, it ain't pretty but it might solve your problem.

Use multiAVCHD (it's free). Put all of your clips in one folder numbered in the order that you want them. Open multiAVCHD and select Join M*TS/whatever button on top (like the 3rd one). Point to your folder and select. It will choose all files in that folder. On the next screen you can choose which files and in which order. Join with EAC3to, do not use TSmuxer as your audio can get screwed up. Once it is finished (the start button becomes black again) collect your file in the C:\multiAVCHD (look in templates or temp, I forget) default folder and you have one M2TS file for all of your clips (it does not give the option to do this, you have to go get it). Down, dirty, fast, and free.

Got any questions email me.
