View Full Version : Attach TWO Senni RXs to the XF300? Graham Bernard October 30th, 2011, 04:43 AM I've done the hotshoe extension thing. What I'm looking to do is make use of 1/4" thread hole on the handle. Any ideas people? Grazie Don Bloom October 30th, 2011, 07:41 AM Grazie, might not be your cup of tea but here's something to look at. Scroll thru the page and you'll see the 2 items I'm talking about, made just for your camera and you Xmitters. Receiver Camera Mounts (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?atclk=Brand_Bracket1&ci=3741&N=4257447676+4291579558) Graham Bernard October 30th, 2011, 08:44 AM Yes Don. I looked at the BH site and I couldn't see that range at all. I could immeadiately see something for the XF but did discover the supplier's name and hotfooted over to there Spot the camera:- Bracket 1: Video Camera Bracket system for Mounting Wireless Microphone Receivers and Accessories to your camcorder or SLR (http://www.bracket1.com/) . Here's what I saw over there for the XF300:- Brackets for mounting accessories to your video camera or SLR (http://www.bracket1.com/brackets.php) I think the bracket will extend very much wider than the camera, could make things unwieldy. But it's a real workman like piece of kit. It does emerge from the tripod plate. Very strong. Interesting, Don, thanks. Grazie Alan McCormick October 30th, 2011, 01:45 PM Grazie, I found this: Wireless Receiver Bracket » Rycote (http://www.rycote.com/products/wireless_receiver_camera_bracket/) Just need to find a supplier that stocks them, if you find one let me know EDIT --------- Found it here http://www.keene.co.uk/electronics/multi.php?mycode=157401 Graham Bernard October 30th, 2011, 03:27 PM Yes, I saw that one too. Still needs a way to finesse twin options. Sure, get 2! Presently I'm fossicking about with the Senni clip thing and "foot". Cheers Grazie Alan McCormick October 31st, 2011, 12:03 AM It is setup to take two RX but not ideal as you don't have easy access to change batteries etc and I don't know if they will get interference if laid on next to each other. If I come across anything else I will let you know. Graham Bernard November 3rd, 2011, 04:20 AM Quite happy with this setup:- http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20371960/DvInfo/Adding%20Senni%20RXs%20to%20XF%205a.mp4 Easy-peasy. I did it with some tat I had in my toot pouch. Yesterday I tested for Tx >>> Rx clarity and fidelity - perfect. Grazie Alan McCormick November 3rd, 2011, 04:26 AM Very nice Grazie, ideal for corporate stuff :) Great use of that 1/4" thread on tripod. Still waiting for delivery notice of my XF300, heard that there will be a delivery block because of the Thailand flood problems in the near future (hopefully min is in the UK already). Graham Bernard November 3rd, 2011, 05:53 AM Very nice Grazie, ideal for corporate stuff :) Yeah, pretty "fit" huh!?! As to your camera, I had the Tsunami tragedy which waylaid deliveries to UK. Japan's issues then and now still far out way any tiny dissappointment I may had been feeling. Stay patient, it'll come. Grazie Alan McCormick November 3rd, 2011, 07:32 AM Will just have to wait I suppose - in the meantime I will have to go to the Kent Wedding Awards tonight and see if my XLH1A film can get me an award - up for best Wedding Videographer in Kent :) |
