Hi all,

I have [finally] edited part of my footage in the bundled software, saved the project, and now want to burn it to disc.

How do I burn my project to DVD; I can connect the camera, HD writer launches the wizard, but it is only for burning from the camera to storage. How do I burn my project to DVD; anyone used this?

Thanks

Barry

Barry.
Looking at the manual it would appear that you need an external USB DVD burner to copy to DVD. The usual method is to edit your footage, encode it to mpeg2 and use a DVD authoring programme to produce your DVD, with menus etc. If your PC has a basic DVD burning programme, Sonic usually bundle one with new PCs, try using that. Or download Imgburn, its free and a great programme for burning DVDs. It seems quite a lot to get your head round, but straightforward once you get the hang of it. If your having problems, feel free to give me a ring anytime, and I will talk you through it.
Have sent you an e-mail

Thanks Colin, much appreciate the email, may take you up on it if I get stuck :0)

I have 2 built in DVD burners and Nero so I'll have a pop tomorrow. Thought it would be simple to edit and burn but it's taking an age with this naff software :0/

Think I might end up using clipwrap and iMovie, [still haven't learnt Final Cut], I was only avoiding clipwrap due to the big file sizes it produces, but then I don't have a HD burner so it will only be in standard DVD quality; oh the frustration :0(

Cheers again
