I have learnt a lot about audio in this forum. I have bounced off ideas here including but not limited to purchasing equipment. Some time back I upgraded to Sound Devices 702T recorder for recording wildlife sounds and interviews for my films.

I thought of sharing my brief review of the Sound Devices 702T here: Sound Devices 702T Review | Diary - Tales from India's Wilds (http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/sound-devices-702t-sound-recorder-review/)

I would like some peer reviews of this article.

I was looking for a 702 but agreed to the suggestion of Steve House given in this thread and am happy about it: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/all-things-audio/493199-few-negatives-about-tascam-dr100-2.html

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Sabyasachi,

Thanks for sharing that info. Your writing syle made the review an interesting read for me. I've already visited the SD web-site and gone over all the specs on these machines, so it was also nice to get the impressions from a new owner's perspective. I have been researching the SD recorders myself lately and was about to pull the trigger when the news came out about a new big thing from Canon, so I'm now waiting on that (if no interchangeable lens, I'll have an SD in my bag soon). Anyhoot, I hope you'll put out a 2nd installment after you've had some time to use your new 702T. I want to know how good the controls are and how intuitive the menu system is. I have the Zoom H4n and a Sony PCM-D50. I have no complaints about these two recorders, but after reading some of the comments on this forum, I believe the SD is the last recorder I will need to buy.
