Dear Friends,
We provided a working, production level, Gemini 4:4:4 to Jim Arthurs,
one of our team members, this past weekend.
While this is a production level unit, the firmware is still preliminary
and not the final firmware that we will provide with our shipping units.
We are enabling new features in the firmware every week.
We are able to record 4:2:2, and 4:4;4 to real DPX files, and we are able to playback these files.
We have many features enabled in the firmware, but not not yet selectable via the menu system.
Thus, only a limited number of features were available for Jim to test in the field.
This is just an early part of our testing process.
Here is Jim's video:

Also, we loaned a production level Gemini 4:4:4 to well respected
Italian Director of Photographer at IBC.
He used a Sony F3 + S-Log Upgrade + Gemini 4:4:4 to record 256 GB's of footage around Holland.
This test also went well.
I am sorry, but I do not have actual footage from either test yet.
It is our intention to post some individual DPX files and short sequences of DPX files on our website.
The Gemini 4:4:4 Sun Shade was not avilable for Jim this past weekend. Thus, you will see excessive glare on the images in his video. This will be resolved when our Sun Shade becomes available.
Our plans are to start intitial shipping of the Gemini 4:4:4's on October 15, 2011.
