This may be a dumb question, but it seems that when I use my Sennhieser wireless lav mic that it kills the on camera mic. Is there some simple setting that i'm missing or misusing that will have the cam mic on channel 2 and the Senn on channel 1 at the same time? Thanks for your help.

There is no way to use the internal mic in combination with an external.
You'll have to use a external shotgun mic on the camera if You want both.
