Hi All,
In CS 3.2 I'm trying to find out how much I need to crop some pictures taken with a Canon D-90 (12+MP).
What are the dimensions in pixels/cut-off for importing stills from that source?
Failed with Adobe help.
Thanks

Canon doesn't make a D-90. Are you referring to a Nikon D90?

CS3 hates stills, and especially hates them if they're bigger than necessary. Anything bigger than 1920 x 1080 is bigger than necessary unless you are zooming or panning or otherwise doing motion with your stills. And a word to the wise... png is the format Premiere likes best.
I learned all of this the hard way.

I believe with CS3, 4000x4000 is the largest acceptable size to import a still. If you want to pan/zoom around in the still to add motion, you can benefit from the larger size, but if you just need a static shot, then definitely scale down to video size or you will bog down the works with the oversized stills

Whoops! Sorry, yes I meant to say Nikon not Canon.
Thanks for all of your involvement.
I can now import pictures however, after editing .... when exporting them (added color matte + title) when viewed the quality had suffered greatly. Very unfavorable compared to the original.
Don't have full-blown Photoshop so I was trying to make do.
What can be done to dramatically improve the output?
What export settings/format et. al. are best for a edited still?
