I have a 1 day old FS100 that is showing large horizontal black lines slowly moving up the screen. It shows on the viewfinder and on the recorded material. It also does it without a lens attached, ruling out any lens issue. I have also switched from 24p to 60p without improvement. The zebras also recognize the lines as they move. Any thoughts?

Here is a frame grab. You can see the large blurry black lines.

Are you under fluorescent lights? Seems to be an effect of fluo of sync with your shutter speed.

I am under fluorescent lights, and that could explain the problem! Its the little things that count... :)

I've seen similar results when filming near LED lights. Sometimes they can give this effect on camera. But you also see this without any lens attached? I think you need to contact Sony or your dealer. Perhaps someone else on this forum knows more about this.

EDIT: Good it's been solved! Not LCD lights but fluorescent lights! :)

I have a fluorescent light that will cause that problem when any camera I use has a shutter speed around 1/48 or 1/50. You should take a look at it on a DSC chart with a vectorscope if you want to see some crazy stuff going on. The vector points are constantly moving until the shutter speed is changed or that light is turned off. All my cameras do it, but the FS100 is most severe.
