Hi,
I need to connect my Matrox Mini to a projector via a VGA input. The Matrox Mini does not of course have a VGA output. I'm wondering what is best to use: a) will a straightforward cable work: VGA to Component Video Cable 10m Only 12.51 at TVCables (http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/vga-to-component-video-cable-10m.html) (from research I'm assuming not) or b) do I need a component to VGA converter like this: Component To VGA Converter For PS2 Wii Xbox 360 1080P | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Component-VGA-Converter-PS2-Wii-Xbox-360-1080P-/260821278712?pt=UK_AudioElectronicsVideo_Video_TelevisionSetTopBoxes&hash=item3cba28dff8#ht_4217wt_1141)
Finally c) would using the HDMI output work better with an HDMI to VGA converter: HDMI To Component VGA L/R YPbPr SPDIF Converter Adapter | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HDMI-Component-VGA-L-R-YPbPr-SPDIF-Converter-Adapter-/280699320040?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item415afbb6e8#ht_2145wt_907)
Mainly it will be for SD video but could be for HD, thanks, Geoff
