Have you ever thougt of changing the pdw-700 Filter wheel to the two-stepped filters of the 800? There should be the whole filter-set as a spare part. The body of the camera is the same, so it should work.

That would be a great modification. Not sure the WB circuitry is transferable .... I do know someone who would know if that is possible... I will ask him today!

My dealer checked the whitepapers. It's possible. BUT you have to change the whole CCD. The whole thing is one big spare-part....
