I am working on a project and I need to put Arabic text, I downloaded three Arabic font to my font file, then I copied and paste the Arabic text to the media generator, it looks fine and I can change the font from the three Arabic font that I have, but on my video preview window the Arabic writing are not the same as in the media generator, it's all into small pieces,
I even tried to render the section to see if it picks up the right font but that didn't work it was all garbage.
anybody have experience with foreign font ?

I have never had a problem with non-English fonts, but I have never tried it with a right-to-left writing system.

Perhaps Frequently Asked Questions: Complex Scripts (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/goglobal/bb688172) might help, especially the answer to What about combining characters and diacritics?

Also, it is possible Vegas just does not (yet) support the issues described here: Globalization Step-by-Step: Mirroring Awareness (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/goglobal/bb688119)

Apparently the ProType titler in Vegas will handle it.
All you have to do is figure out that "wonderful" product :(

A user on another forum recommended going to Wajihah Arabic Glyphs Converter (http://convert.wajihah.com/)
Paste the Arabic text into the LARGE white box and hit the button.
It switches it around, so that by the time you paste the result into Vegas and Vegas edits it, it should then look fine.

If you know how to use After Effects, here's something to try.

Adam thanks for the info, Mike when I put the text into Vegas it looks fine even with different Arabic font, I think it might be a Windows Vista problem.
