Has anyone tried the new Scattershot plugin for Vegas (from VASST)?

It looks interesting and I can think of one or two projects where it might add something. What I am particularly interested to know, though, is whether the shot starting at 0m15s in their demo video Scattershot 3D Promotional (http://player.vimeo.com/video/24736108) was created using the tool or if was done in something else.

I'm not really that excited about creating cubes and rings of images/footage but the idea of having many images seemingly randomly scattered in 3d space then crash zooming on specific images does have some appeal.

When I get a chance I will download and play with the demo but if anyone has already got some experience I'd be very interested to hear about it.

yeah, but it looks like the video was done in AE :)

Precisely what I was thinking. Shame if that is the case (and I might argue it's a little misleading, even if there is a demo version to download).

Ian, the guy that did the promo piece said on the Sony Vegas forum that he made it using Blender, Octane, After Effects, and Vegas Pro 10.
Don't be disappointed though as there's an extensive demo tutorial on just Scattershot on the VASST page.
It's only $99 right now (reg. $129).
The Canadian dollar is currently worth more than the US dollar (woohoo!!) so I'm seriously considering the purchase.
