Hi all,
For a short documentary, I need to film some large objects covered with fluorescent paint and lit by black (UV) light - quite powerful UV spots.
What settings should we use ?

There obviously also is a lowlight issue, but circus lighting nearby gives a diffuse background lighting.
The setting is such that I cannot bring in any additional light - no electricity and no possibility to use a generator.

Did some scouting with my Mino Flip - the fluo paint & white clothing are very blue-violet.

You probably want a Wratten 2A filter to block the UV from your sensor. As far as settings, the physical parameters you have at your disposal are aperture, shutter speed, and gain. Just remember the fluorescence is visible light, not UV.

The trick will be to keep the magic "glow" of the reflecting surfaces. Jim, you're right of course, it's visible light.
I wonder if combining a Wratten UV with a promist would yield a nice "glow".
