I have a quick time movie which I exported from FCP a couple of months ago. I am now trying to import it into Adobe Premiere 5.5. There is digital error during playback - red pixels fill the screen and checking the even list, it is listed as: "MPEG decode error around frame ***".

It is not in source video when watched on VLC (or in the any of the original footage).

This must be a Premiere import issue, but I tried multiple re-imports, multiple copies of the files (old versions too) and still the issue persists.

Any suggestions?

Have you run gSpot on the file to see if it comes up with anything unusual about it?

No, I'm not familiar with gSpot. I just searched for it so I'll see what it brings up.
