Hi

Just bought the Panasonic HVX200

It has'nt come with a mic holder for my shotgun mic that plugs into xlr? I can see it has 2 screws for a holder, i'm in the UK and have spent at hours looking for the necessary parts but cant find anything..

can anyone tell me where I can get the parts I need, I know I can get a holder for the shoe on top but thats going to be for my light so I really need the part that screws onto the side...

Help is greatly appreciated...

Mike

I have a J-Rod "Super Strong Twin Mount":
thejrodstore.com (http://www.thejrodstore.com/)

Super simple, a little on the expensive side, maybe more so if you have to have it shipped cross-pond, but works very very well. This should be standard equipment on most camcorders.

IIRC, I believe the mic holder screw holes are for 8mm fine metric thread - check with your local hardware store to be sure.

Hi Mike you need these two parts to mount the mic on the side of the camera:

Panasonic Mic Holder Assembly (http://www.spec-comm.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=2317)
Panasonic Mic Holder Adaptor (http://www.spec-comm.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=2312)

If you ask your panasonic dealer they should be able to get them for you.

Seems a bit crazy that the camera doesn't come with it fitted, my HPX371 did and my sony Z7 and S270!
