Just waiting for my new NX70P cam and have been practising on VMS 11 to get used to MP4 files. I downloaded a Mike Beckett video about zoom functions on the NX70U from Vimeo site. I first noticed that on VMS 11 when the video showed zooming in or out the picture pulsed as the imaged moved in or out. So I bought up my Win 7 task manager and noted as the video was playing that the average CPU usage was 76% and the average memory usage was 1.7GB. Any comments. My computer runs a Sandy Bridge CPU i5-2500 3.3GHz and I have 4G 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM etc, etc. Other videos posted on the web from the NX70U were actually MPEG 2 1920x1080. I am looking forward to getting my NX70P but am fearful that my computer may not be up to the task!! My previous cam was a HVR-A1P. Any help here would be much appreciated, thanks.

Are you sure the pulsing isn't from VMS changing the preview quality? I use Vega Pro 10 and leave it set to 'Preview Half,' pausing it and using 'Best Full' to check the detail when needed.

Thanks for your prompt reply Matt. I have tried the preview setting at Preview auto/half/Good half/ and Best. Still the light pulsing of the zooming image was detected. However one thing I did notice was that the footage was PAL 25p. Another clip from the same cam from the same guy was in 50i and that showed no sign of the pulsing, food for thought? One other thing I have noted in relation to my system was during editing practice of the mp4 footage the encoding process speed was 1.72 times actual, fairly slow wouldn't you say?
