Hey guys just a question for you.
I have an HXR-NX5U, and in keeping my costs low, I thought I'd try to use my Rode Videomic and convert it into the shot gun mic. The mic would be used primarily for interviews & music peformance but for other remote shoots as well.
These would be the parts I would need to do hook into the camera, and wonder if anyone has gone that route and what they thought of the audio quality.
Rode:Boompole for Rode NTG-1, NTG-2 and Video Mic (10')
RodeStereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Female VideoMic Cable - 10'
RodeVXLR - Mono Mini-Jack to XLR Converter
RodeDead Kitten WindMuff for the Rode Stereo VideoMic
Pearstone 3-Pin XLR Male to 3-Pin XLR Female Audio Cable (15')
(FYI , it would cost just under $191 at BHPhotovideo)
Thanks!
Robert
