Are the frame numbers available on the time code int the EVF, other that just the HR; MN; and seconds?

Not really needed, but I'm use to seeing it on my other cameras.

Yes, the EX1's show hours, minutes, seconds and frames when viewing the time code generated. Having frames is good because if you have two cameras on free-run, one can shoot the other's viewfinder to establish a time code offset.
I believe the recorded time duration setting only shows hours:minutes:seconds.

I did find the setting to show recording frames. It was on TC/U-bit button on top of the camera. This is another reason I ordered the Vortex video.
