So got a double booking by mistake! Whoops! So the four cameras will be used two on each shoot! But as a precaution is there a really cheap hd good quality cam out there that would do a job at full hd or 1080x 1440. I read on here ages ago someone had a chinese one cheap and was really good footage?? Steve

If you find out what the cheap chinese one was, please post back in here as I'm looking for a couple of cheap HD cams as b/c roll for events.

with sufficient amount of light I'd say any high end consumer camcorder will do the job, but full HD is 1080X1920

At what price range?

We use Canon HF M406 (the European version of the HF M400) as B role cams and they are outstanding. Image quality is identical to the XA10 we also have.

If you want something cheaper and you don't mind the 29min limit I suggest the Sony HX7V or the HX9V. They are not video cameras but they have wide angle lenses, 1080 50/60p and they seem to have excellent video quality (I don't own one so I cant be sure)
