If you are working with Final Cut Pro, this is my way:
Set the camera to NTSC and 720p60
Set nano to I-Frame at the highest bitrate your CF card can handle.
Shoot the peregrine.
Open your clips with Cinema Tools, choose batch conform, choose the desired framerate (24, 25 or 30). I am in pal country, so take 25. Now Compressor have made a 25p clip of the 60p footage, so slowed it down 2.4 times.

720 because the EX does not record 60 fps in 1080. The highest bitrate because the bitrate per second will also be divided by 2.4 when you slow down from 60 frames to 25 frames per second.I-frame because Cinema Tools can not deal with Long Gop, unless you transcode it to a I-frame codec before doing the exercise.
