Hey everyone, I will be shooting a promotional video for a friend's clothing line later next week and I will be using my girlfriend's 7D. I normally shoot with a Nikon d5000 but it only shoots 24p in 720p and I would like to add some slow motion in the video. Because I have the opportunity to use the 7D for the project, I want to take advantage of 1080p so I will be shooting in 30p and I was wondering if I could get a smooth slow motion effect without having to bump up to 60p and lose quality? I only want to slow down the footage to about 90% of the speed of a 24p frame rate. I will be shooting during golden hour outside in a forest type environment and so I'm wondering what shutter speed I will need to shoot at so that I can slow the footage in the time line later while also having decently exposed shots. I plan to have a few flares here and there. Any ideas?
