Well I went from Studio 10 HD to Pro 10d. In Studio burning to blueray from my 1080p 30fps project was a successful no brainer with the wizard. This is one of the Wizards that actually worked

Now there's a menu option Burn to Disc and BluRay and then select a Template. I noticed that there was no template to exactly match my 1080p 30fps in the templates. I suppose there's a way to do custom as we do fro renders.

What would be the best settings for BluRay for 1080p 30fps?

TIA

The blue ray spec doesn't support 1080 30p. You have to use 1080 60i (30 fps).

It sucks since 90% of my video is 1080 30p. Maybe some day they'll extend the spec, but then we would have to wait for firmware updates or new blu-ray players.

Seriously? I thought the BluRay "wizard" was buring a 1080p bluray disc...Ah well so I can edit in Vegas Pro using the 1080p 30 but I need to select the MainConcept 1080 60i to burn?

Thanks for the info. I missed the memo. ;-)

For best results 1080p30 footage should be encoded using x264's --fake-interlaced flag. Although such video is blu-ray compatible, it will not ingest into DVD Architect. When mastering with DVD Architect, encoding as 60i with MainConcept seems to be the reasonable alternative.

Back to the OP question. So the answer is select Main Concept 1080 60i if my movie on the timeline in vegas is 1080p 30fps?
