Don't know what I would have done without it. It makes my Sony V1 that cost £3000 look pants. The first dance footage on my V1 was rubbish and grainy as hell. The 550d with a 50mm F1.8 looks mint. Also my Zoom H1 recorder (£80) saved my life as my £500 Sennheiser radio mic kept dropping out.

Mike I swear by my Zooms H1s and voice recorders, they do save ya... What ISO did you use for the low light dance with the 1.8 lens?

Never go above 400 iso or it starts the get grainy..

I go up to ISO3200 occasionally and get footage that is more than acceptable. ISO3200 gives you an extra 3 stops, or 8x as much light as ISO 400. For me that extra light at receptions is more than worth it for the amount of noise you get.

I've shot ISO 3200 often - a bit noisy but easily fixed in PP. ISO 400? Fine if you have lots of light, but not needed.

Forgot the mention I do use a Comer 1800 Led light as well...

I hate grainy footage even a bit of grain.. :)
