Last week, I shot a wedding here in Hawaii. The groom's parents live in the UK and requested several dvds that will play on their system. I know they are PAL, and we are NTSC. My question: Do most or all dvd players in the UK able to play back NTSC?

My wife comes from Malaysia, which is also PAL, but all of the dvd players there are multi-format capable. Just wondering if UK is in the same situation....

Yep and maybe.

I've personally never come across a DVD player in either the UK, Australia or NZ which hasn't been completely multi format, but would hesitate to guarantee that there isn't the odd exception out there somewhere.

I think that if you work on the basis that a PAL only device would be very much the exception, you can't go too far wrong.
