The camera has been out for some time but there is no sign of any update to the AG-HMC40 on Panasonics AVCCAM download page. Has this camera ever been updated or does it share firmware with another model? It seems strange that there would not be some kind of update at this point.

I notice too that it's not even listed...only the 80 and 150 are listed (I have 2 x HMC82's) and my firmware is a lot more recent than on the download site ...they only have Oct 2010 there so I very much doubt if the HMC40 would have any recent updates even if it was listed!!

Maybe there is nothing really that needs changing on the software at all??? My cams are behaving very well indeed...do you have a particular issue on the 40 that needs a firmware update?????

No I can't think of anything specific, I just wanted to make sure I had the latest and greatest. I do wish I could match my AG-HMC40 to my AG-HMC150 better when I use them in 2 camera shoots, but I have yet to find a combination of settings that works in the scene files. But that is probably meant for another discussion.
