I picked up a used Glidecam 2000 pro to use with my Canon 60D and Tokina 11-16 zoom lens (and Rode video mic). I am having a very difficult time getting it balanced vertically, so I can whip it back and forth like in this Glidecam video:

If anyone out there uses a similar setup, would you mind sharing how much weight you use and how much you have the slider thingy extended? I think this might help get me close so I can fine tune.
Thanks for any help. I have a gig Saturday and I'm hoping I can get this thing working.
I used to have a Blackbird and was able to balance it ok, but I didn't like the shape. The Glidecam seemed so much more robust and simple.
Thanks,
Geoff
