Hi,
I want to extract audio which was directly recorded to the .MOV file (video of Canon Mark IV). Please let me know how to do it. Is there any free software available which can help me in extracting it?

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

The freeware editor Audacity will open a .MOV file and allows you to export and save the audio portion as a .WAV file. Not freeware, but Sony Soundforge also will do it.

This free software will do it too: Squared 5 - MPEG Streamclip video converter for Mac and Windows (http://www.squared5.com/)

Open the .MOV file and then export it as an audio file.

Steve and Gary,
Thanks for the help. I tried Audacity as well as the Squared 5 MPEG streamclip. I guess, I was doing something wrong with the Audacity, but the other program worked fine and I could extract the audio.

Cheers,

Quicktime Player Pro should also be able to do this.
