I just received my new Panasonic AG-MC200G Camera Mountable Shotgun Microphone. I intent to mount this shotgun mic to my New Panasonic AG HMC 150 camcorder.

In the Panasonic instruction book, they have a half a page on how to mount this shotgun. I am having problems with the Microphone holder and adapter that came with the camera on how to attached it to my camera.

Does anyone have a better drawing and tutorial on how to attached the holder and adapter to my HMC 150?

Hi Melvin, does the mic not simply fit in the mic holder of the 150 ? it may be a bit of a loose fit, most camera mic clamps are a little on the large size. If so just pad the mic out with a couple of rubber O rings or some thin foam. I dont have a 150 so dont really know the set up, but it must surely have a standard mic clamp !!!!!

Colin the 150 "light shoe" is a slot that I thought would also fit any external mic. That's why Panasonic designed this powerful Shotgun Mic to be inserted on the side of the build-in Mic. They provided the holder and adapter. I wish Panasonic would have a more detailed instruction on how to put this holder and adapter together.

According to the panasonic website the 150 comes with a mic holder, that should fit any mic
