Hi all,

i am about to get a zoom lens for my 60d.

Looking at Sigma 18-50 2.8 or Tamron 17-50 2.8.

I have found a couple

i saw a sigma 18-50mm 2.8 EX Nikon Fit. I know you can get a Canon Ef Sigma, but more expensive could i add an adapter onto this and it would work?

What is peoples opinion on the Tamron?

Thanks

Ollie

The one i have found is Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical IF SP AF Which is a Canon fit

or Sigma 18-50mm f 2.8 Ex Dc Lens canon fit

Which do people think is better? they seem both the same and both good :)

thanks

I have the Tamron. It seems to be well constructed. I am not an expert on glass so I can't give an experiential opinion however there does not seem to be any obvious problems.

I have Sigma 17-50mm F2.8. I picked Sigma over Tamron because of the zoom ring direction. Sigma has the same rotation direction of the zoom and focus ring as the Canon. Since I will be using Canon lens too, i don't want to be disoriented =)
