The next meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug) will be Wednesday, May 25, 2011 beginning at 6:45PM - till we drop at the Gallery Theatre in Hollywood Ca.
This assumes the world has not ended.
The Agenda is set.
Seeing that Final Cut Pro X will not be be released until June, lafcpug figures the May meet will be a good time to look at one of the "other NLEs", in this case, Avid MC 5.5.
Join us we bring in "LOST" Film Editor Chris Nelson to discuss his essential role in producing one of television's biggest hits. Learn more about the processes behind the multiple award nominations and wins for "LOST" and "Mad Men", and gain insight for how you can stand out as an Editor to get jobs in a competitive environment.
Plus, Michael Krulik, Avid Principal Applications Specialist, will give a 20-minute overview of the latest release of Media Composer software including: capture, monitor, and output support with AJA Io Express; and the PhraseFind option for an all new way to find the right clips fast.
Plus Michael Kammes will discuss the hot areas in post production that require encoding, and tell us what is the right encoding solution for your workflow. Plus another round of Stump the Gurus and of course, World famous Raffle where we will be giving out a copy of MC 5.5 and Adobe Premiere.
Registration will be required.
