I need to add a time code to a project I'm working on so when I export, it's on the video.

What's the best way to do this?

How do you mean, as a visible "time code" window where you see the timecode or as part of the final data stream on the output?

Robert, where you visible see the time code window.

Thanks

You can add this in FCP (Effects>Video>Timecode Generator/Reader) if you want but there is also this very useful free utility to add this to any quicktime movie you have exported: Download QT Sync for Mac - Audio/video sync correction and more. MacUpdate.com (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/15245/qt-sync)

Thanks Gary, I'll check that out!

Thanks Gary, I'll check that out!

it's good as it creates a copy with the timecode and leaves your master clean, also seems to be very quick too and more simple than rendering a timecode burn in out of FCP.
