Im editing a spot here that I shot with my 7D and a panasonic HDC-TM300 and I am having this weird flicker issue when I start cranking the contrast on the clips...

Final Cut 7
All footage ripped to ProRes 422 LT
1920x1080/30p

I shot in technicolor cinestyle with the 7D, so naturally I need to turn up the contrast a good bit in post to match it with the panasonic (didn't use this cam by choice, trust me...). Problem is, when I start turning the contrast up by about 20-25, the white balance seems to flicker noticeably all over the place. It goes from warm, to cool, tints magenta, etc etc and looks generally displeasing. This happens on both the 7D footage, and the panasonic footage.

Right now, to get the contrast up a bit I am mixing some levels adjustments with contrast to get the look I want without the flicker, but why this is happening is a mystery to me... It only does it when contrast turns up, and if I crank the levels the WB isn't all over the place either. Anyone else experience this? Never had this happen when I edited in premiere... If its just a limitation of Final Cut thats fine, but knowing the reason never hurt...
