Has anyone compared the quality of 16:9 inc's EXII 0 6X Wide Attachment vs century optics .6 wide angle for the ex1r?
or just 16:9 vs century lens in general?

Bought one, used it, got a few nice shots but wasn't really delighted, bought Canon 550D and Tokina 11-16 instead, lived happily ever after. YMMV. Andrew Stone May 17th, 2011, 08:29 AM Robert hard to know as to what you mean by quality. Both are going to have the same issues with barrel distortion. The adapter isn't like a full blown lens where you can be going through over 6 lens elements. I would suggest going to camera outfit in a larger city that will probably have at least a Century wide angle in inventory and try it out. I have the Century zoom through wide angle which is a very good lens adapter but any wide angle adapter on this camera is going to have a degree of compromise. The differences between the units will be small, if unnoticeable. The Century will be an easier resell. |
