I have been importing footage from my Sony NX5U into Sony Vegas 10 for editing but I am facing a problem in the timeline. The video freezes at the end and the beginning of each clip placed in the timeline. The problem gets worse when I add transitions and/or filters to the clips. The video was recorded with the following specs: Video: 00:00:14.473, 23.976 fps progressive, 1920x1080x12, AVCHD
Audio: 00:00:14.514, 48,000 Hz, Stereo, Dolby AC-3
My project is also set the same specs.
It also seems weird that I have done tests with footage shot with a Sony camcorder HDR-SR10 with the following specs: Video: 00:00:34.535, 29.970 fps interlaced, 1440x1080x12, AVCHD
Audio 1: 00:00:34.535, 48,000 Hz, 5.1 Surround (stereo downmix), Dolby AC-3
Audio 2: 00:00:34.535, 48,000 Hz, 5.1 Surround, Dolby AC-3
The video in this case runs just fine within the timeline with no freeze frames.
I do my editing on a Toshiba 18.4" laptop running an i7processor Quad Core, 4GB Ram, 1Gb NVidia Video Card
Please somebody help will be appreciated because at this point I have no clue what can be wrong since Sony Vegas is supposed to be editing AVCHD natively. Also, a coworker has the exact same computer doing editing in Sony Vegas 10 and the video from the NXCAM runs just fine in the timeline.
Thanks,
