Looks great! Nice tripod work. What tripod did you use?

One flaw I see is some 8-bit contouring in the sky as you pan from the side of the palace. Aside from that, the highlights are well controlled, and the blacks retain detail. Nice!

well when you compare, the 2nd one looks sexier, but whites are a bit overburned.

Looks great!

Any chance on putting together a side by side? 1/2 screen as shot, the other half with LUT applied?

Thanks again for posting your comparison.

Hi Jeff. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I have updated my original post with a split screen version.

All the best,

Thank you for putting up the split screen. I'm at work, so ill have to wait until I get home to check it out.

Could someone correct me if I'm wrong, would using the LUT be like using a "canned" look, inside magic bullet looks? I could take the flat profile video and put into color, or some other grading program, or use color correction in my NLE, and dial in a similar look. With the LUT, it gets me there, then I can tweak, or I can stay with the flat profile, and create my own look?

Would that be correct?

Thank you again.

Jon, thank you for taking the time watching the video.

I wanted to keep low profile so I took the simplest and smallest tripod I have, the Manfrotto 756XB legs+701 head (which I normally use for my slider).

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
