Hi all, I am in the process of teaching myself After Effects CS5 (working through some work books).

I was hoping someone could help me. I can't seem to get sound out of AE. I am using the digital output, on my Mac Pro, going into a stereo receiver. Audio works in every other program. I go into the AE audio preferences and audio mapping, and have tried every combinations that seems to be right, but still getting no sound output.

Is there something I'm missing? Any other info I can provide to help me trouble shoot this problem?

Thanks for all the help,
Jeff

Here is a video version about previewing audio in After Effects: FAQ: How can I play or preview sound (audio)? - Adobe After Effects CS5: Frequently Asked Questions - More Videos (http://www.video2brain.com/en/videos-1246.htm?auto_play=1)

Thanks for the help. I didn't realize I had to use the "RAM PREVIEW" button, to get audio as well as video. I was simply using the space bar to play and pause.

0 on numeric keypad will play audio and video. If you want just audio to play, press the period key on numeric keypad.
