Read an article in DVMag online and came across this picture of some interesting-looking lights that I haven't seen before.

Rock Star Visuals (http://dv.com/article/105266) - It's the second image, the red-colored fixtures with what looks like ctb clamped on. They look old, that's for sure... anyone have an idea what we're looking at?

Thanks!

Looks like an old Berkley Colortran scoop. Used a crazy looking screw in incandescent type bulb if I remember right.

Yes it's a berkley scoop, we used them in the news studios in the 80's to get rid of double (tripple) chins.

I still have my five berkley beam redheads and they were a british company but I don't think they exist anymore.

Me too and I am buying up any old tungsten kit I can as you can get it for peanuts as people jump on the fluro/led bandwagon.
