Hello Everyone,

Recently we have received word from several customers that there has been an Issue importing our files into Avid 5.5

We spoke to our Avid contact, and Link to AMA is not actually broken, but simply not installed with the initial package Version 5+,Mac and PC only QT AMA plugins are installed

Here is a Link to Avid's AMA plugins
Avid | AMA ? Avid Media Access (http://www.avid.com/US/products/Avid-Media-Access/plug-ins)

All you have to do is download and install the MXF link to AMA Plugin, and your files can be linked to AMA once again!

Best Regards

Hello Everyone,

My apologies if I have caused any Confusion, Where I referred to 5+,in the previous post, It was a typo in the sense that it should have stated 5.5, and newer, this is Avid's new policy, for linking to AMA plugins starting with version 5.5 this applies to the Mac and PC, they will no longer be installed natively, with Media Composer, as you will find with the link in the above post.

Also if you come across Issues trying to link to AMA with our files with version 5.0.3.4 to 5.0.3.9 we have found that Avid had released a patch that had fixed the link to AMA Issues, i will try to find the link and post it later today, unless someone else has it handy.

Best Regards

Yes, please, I need that fix. I am on Avid Media Composer 5.0.3 and QT 10.6.5 and the files AMA'd into the bin but, when I tried to edit with them or transcode I get an error saying AMA plug-in cannot read the file size.
Thanks in advance for your help.
