Has anyone in DVInfo group actually used the announced Technicolor Cinema Style picture style.

This seems to me like its just a marketing ploy to get people into Technicolors grading pipeline.

While I'm sure there is a strong element of marketing to it, I do see a lot of potential here. I'm not a big fan of most of the superflat and related profiles out there right now, mostly because the picture profile editor makes it almost impossible to change things overall much without screwing up the picture somewhere. If technicolor has access through canon to a way to more precisely/accurately adjust the gamma then I think it's entirely possible that these profiles could improve the captured information. Hard to say though until we can get our hands on them.
