The display of the NX70 water and dust "proof" camera was particularly effective. The camera was in an aquarium case under a constant shower of water. A difficult thing to watch without cringing.

NAB has their own news section on the NAB site:

Anyone see the JVC booth? Where's the 4K camera?

Is it just me, or was this year's NAB underwhelming? Perhaps the earthquake really did alter the announcements....

Yeah, I guess I kind of felt that way because I had hoped for certain announcements that didn't materialize. Then again, although I heard someone say that attendance was about the same as last year (which was definitely down), at least to me it did seem that the floor was busier and more upbeat. Anyway, that one's in the bag and time to think about NAB 2012!

I was hoping for something more concrete about Red's Scarlet, fixed and interchangeable. Even factoring in delivery difficulties with the tragedy in Japan, I was expecting some more information about the camera(s) itself. Instead it was a "we have one turned on in the booth" situation. Patience will need to be exercised.

Did you get to play with it? How was the image?

I did not go to NAB. That is why I was hoping for more information to have been published or told through interviews.

Rob Lohman let me juggle it. Good weight and very aerodynamic, good grips. Bounced nicely.

So were there any new Disk recording cameras announced, those for the real video guy without the Disney budget.
