Notice the remote control RC-6 strapped to the arm. I am using it to start-stop the video shoot.

Steve Bleasdale April 3rd, 2011, 03:25 AM Stelios i like, could you enlighten please, do you have any camera movement/shake with this system? if you are holding the two handles how do you then change focus exposore everything else? is it ok filming with one hand to change one to film? was it expensive? what system links?? steve
Stelios Christofides April 3rd, 2011, 05:09 AM Steve, you can easily operate the camera with one hand and the other to focus. As you can see you I can hold the shoulder support with my right hand and also operate the start/stop function with the remote; this leaves my left hand for focus. It is really steady as it rests on your shoulder.
The support is not expensive either.
Here is the link for it: home (http://www.spiderbrace.com/index.html)
and here is for the Videomic: http://rodemic.com/microphone.php?product=VideoMic

Gianni Paolella April 4th, 2011, 07:01 AM Stelios,

Stelios Christofides April 4th, 2011, 11:15 AM Gianni, I got this viewfinder: 3:2 LCD viewfinder x2,8 for CANON 550D / T2i / KISS X4 - eBay (item 180582723471 end time May-02-11 07:34:44 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180582723471)
and I also got this LCD protector GGS Pro Glass LCD Screen Protector for Canon 550D NEW! - eBay (item 220737522616 end time Apr-11-11 00:36:21 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/GGS-Pro-Glass-LCD-Screen-Protector-Canon-550D-NEW-/220737522616?pt=Digital_Camera_Accessories&hash=item3364fb4bb8) where I glue the viewfinder. This way it can easily come on and off without attaching any permanent frames on my camera.

For about $10 more they offer the "Combo" configuration with a 3rd grip which centers under the camera axis. When you "go one handed" and use that "Combo" grip with the left hand balance is a lot better.
I use their SpiderBrace 2 "Combo" with Manfrotto 577 quick release adapter for when the cam comes off the tripod. My main tripod has a Manfrotto 501 head and the release "plates" are fully compatible.

Steve Bleasdale April 4th, 2011, 02:21 PM nice one bruce thanks
Greg Fiske April 4th, 2011, 06:50 PM Calumet has the identical 577 adapter for a little less:

David St. Juskow April 4th, 2011, 09:40 PM Your viewfinder looks exactly like the LCDVF:
LCDVF | home (http://www.lcdvf.com/)
but at half the price. Does anyone know if the glass is comparable? LCDVF is quite good!
Zhong Cheung April 16th, 2011, 07:32 PM How did you use the LCD protector? The ebay seller says that LCD protector is for the 550d (t2i) and does not work for the 60d.
Stelios Christofides April 17th, 2011, 06:28 AM Zhong
I know I cannot use it on my 60D as the spacing is not the same. I am looking now to find one for the 60D.
In the meantime I still use it but it doesnt "sit" exactly on the LCD just a bit to the left.

David St. Juskow April 24th, 2011, 08:23 AM Stelios- your LCD viewfinder looks like an exact replica of the LCDVF, which costs twice as much. I realize you probably haven't been able to compare the two, however- how clear is your viewfinder? Does it magnify things properly, making focus simple? Do you have any gripes about it? I have to buy a viewfinder and was about to get the LCDFV until I saw yours...
Stelios Christofides April 26th, 2011, 02:50 PM David
The viewfinder is very clear and makes manual focus so easy. It's not though for the 60D it's for the 550D that I had before I replaced it with the 60D.
Steven Bills May 2nd, 2011, 11:29 AM What's the focus rig that you've got on there?
Stelios Christofides May 2nd, 2011, 03:25 PM It's the D focus
