View Full Version : XA10 in Stock at B&H
Luis A. Diaz April 1st, 2011, 03:02 PM Hi all
Got home earlier today and went directly to B&H site, long and behold there it was in stock the XA10 !!!! Was with a Backorder sticker last nite. Immediately went thru the online order, since they close early on Fridays, so I could not talk to anyone, but it went thru like a flash and I got an E-Mail with a confirmation # for the order, ETA or Delivery 4/5/11.
I don't know if it was luck, or the fact I have an account with them or they are only trickling in slowly, but it went thru without a hitch.
I went back to the site like about 45 min later and it showed backordered again, the FX105 was also in stock, I don't know about the HFG10.
This is not an April's Fool day crap, it is real.
Keep you posted, will verify on Sunday when they open again.
Thanks,
Luidoly ;D
D.J. Ammons April 1st, 2011, 03:10 PM Congratulations! I look forward to some first hand reports on how this camera behaves in low light situations and how fast & good the autofocus is in both regular and low light.
Pat Reddy April 1st, 2011, 07:44 PM Congratulations Luis.
I got an XF100 this week. Since these cameras share the same basic imaging system I'm sure it is going to be a fantastic camera.

XA10 is AVCHD, XF100 is MPEG-2 "Canon own" codec so no comparison surely?

Pat Reddy May 17th, 2011, 06:29 AM Same lens, same sensor, OIS, same LCD, same DIGIC III processor, same 8-bladed iris, etc...
...but, yes, different codecs.

Tom DelRosario June 1st, 2011, 12:43 PM Amazon had a few in stock last week. Sold out in a couple hours though.
Unfortunately, I had signed up for an email notification and I never got one. I only found out by someone posting in the AVS forum thread on this camera. You may want to monitor that thread as well.

Troy Moss June 12th, 2011, 09:43 AM Texas Media Systems (Austin, TX) has them in stock right now (Buy It Now) on eBay (4 total). You can probably buy direct from their location too. I opted for the Sony HXR-NX70 (which was shipped on Friday). I'll receive on Wednesday or Thursday!

I saw they had 8 on Saturday, and by this morning they were all gone.
I hope the supply line is opening up again.

That's a reseller. Amazon proper had it for B&H's price this AM. HF-G10 is still in stock.

G. Lee Gordon September 2nd, 2011, 07:21 PM Just ordered an XA10 form B&H, was in stock two days ago and today. Do we get a discount from B&H being a sponsor?
Chris Hurd September 3rd, 2011, 04:16 PM You get the satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting this site by making
a purchase from one of its advertisers. Isn't that a great feeling? You have my
personal thanks as well. See, now it's even more feel-good. Enjoy!
G. Lee Gordon September 3rd, 2011, 08:46 PM Wow...Isn't that special Chris. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)
Mark Goodsell September 3rd, 2011, 09:55 PM Does anybody know if the XA10 still suffers from the loose and rattling buttons on the XLR handle? Several early reports indicated it was a major problem (maybe with the first cams?). I watched the video on Vimeo and it's a deal-breaker for me. Otherwise I'd like to get it.
