Hi
My Dad bought a Dell Xps, I7, 4 gigs of ram running windows 7, 64bit.
He wanted to get Sony Vegas 10 platinum but its only a 32bit application.
Is anyone running this, or have any 32bit apps (vegas pro 32) running on a 64bit machine. Im sure someone on the forum said it was possible before?
Thanks

Hi
It works absolutely fine on a 64 bit system.

to me it seems like its the best way to run vegas.
you get the benefit of having over 4 GB of ram with a 64 bit OS
and
you can have the most compatibility with 3rd party plug ins with the 32bit version of Vegas.

I'm about to press the button on a new i7 PC, so from what I've read here, I can presumably transfer and carry on using my 32 bit version of Vegas Pro 10e on it.
However, if I wanted to run the 64 bit Vegas app, is it a different download and will I have to pay again for it?
Thanks...

Robin, it is a different app but, as you've already bought Pro 10, it's a free download.
Go to Sony Creative Software - Download: Vegas Pro 10.0 (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/updates/vegaspro) and choose the 64-bit version.
